PSC specializes in providing federally aligned training solutions designed specifically for Tribes and Tribal organizations.

With a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by Native communities, we tailor every program to support Tribal compliance, security, suitability, and child protection efforts. Our in-person and online trainings are built to reflect current regulatory requirements and the day-to-day realities of Tribal agencies — offering content that is both practical and purposeful.

In addition to training, PSC is the parent company of 1st Defense Screening Solutions, LLC, which provides professional background screening services. These services continue to complement and inform our training offerings, ensuring everything we deliver is rooted in real-world experience and regulatory insight.

1st Defense Screening Solutions, LLC provides professional background screening services to clients nationwide.  Services include:

  • Fingerprinting services 
  • Online background searches 
  • Custom background investigation packages designed to meet organizational requirements

These services were foundational to PSC’s early work and continue to support employers and organizations in making informed, compliant hiring decisions. They also inform our training offerings — ensuring they remain grounded in real-world experience, regulatory insight, and up-to-date screening practices.

If the email doesn’t come through or you’re unable to reset your password, contact us at training@pscprotects.com and we’ll assist you promptly.

Sometimes the issue is as simple as logging in with a different email than the one used to register. In some cases, it may also be related to a pending payment or enrollment issue.

If you’ve checked your login information and still don’t see your course, contact us at training@pscprotects.com and we’ll help get it resolved.

PSC accepts credit cards, ACH transfers, and purchase orders. We can also issue invoices upon request.  Please note that payment must be received before training can begin.

To request a training invoice, please email training@pscprotects.com with the following information:

  • Name and contact information
  • Course title or training program
  • Number of participants (if applicable)
  • Billing contact (if different)
  • Any purchase order details (if applicable)

Please allow 24–48 hours for invoice processing.

Once payment is received, your access to the training will be activated.

Yes, TAP Certification must be renewed every two years. To maintain an active certification, individuals must complete 12 hours of continuing education within the two-year certification period.

TAP is a national certification program sponsored by NNAHRA (National Native American Human Resources Association). PSC serves as the content creator and lead instructor, delivering the training and guiding professionals through TAP’s nationally recognized certification process.

If you experience technical issues while using the PSC website or accessing your online training, please contact our Training Coordinator for assistance.

We’ll work to resolve the issue promptly so you can continue your training without disruption.

To cancel a training registration, email training@pscprotects.com.

Refunds:

  • 100% refund if canceled 30+ days before the event
  • 75% refund if canceled 5–29 days before the event (25% administrative fee applies)
  • No refund if canceled within 5 days of the event — however, a credit may be requested

Credits:

  • Credit may be applied to a future PSC-sponsored training within 12 months
  • Credits are transferable within the same Tribal entity

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations
Personnel Security Consultants, Inc. (PSC) requires all cancellation requests to be submitted to training@pscprotects.com.

Force Majeure
In the event PSC cancels an event due to an act of God, war, foreign threats, or other unforeseen circumstances that directly or indirectly cause the cancellation or rescheduling of the event, PSC reserves the right to issue a credit voucher for future training within twelve (12) months. PSC is not responsible for any other costs associated with attending the event.

Refund/Credit Policy
PSC offers the following options for refunds or credits:

  • Refund Request: You may request a refund under the following terms:
    • Cancellations made 30 days or more before the event are eligible for a 100% refund of the registration fees paid.
    • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will incur a 25% administrative fee based on the registration fee at the time of registration.
    • Cancellations made less than 5 days before the event are not eligible for a refund or credit.
  • Credit Request: You may request credit toward the next PSC-sponsored event. Credit vouchers are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of the original event and may be transferred to someone from the same tribal entity.
